Are you wondering if this all I have of Casablanca? Yup it is. My time in Casablanca, Morocco, Africa didn’t go as planned. What can I say? Plans don’t always pan out and today is one of those days. Initially, I planned on landing, getting a bite to eat, shaking off the jet lag and going to explore. Except, it didn’t quite work out, I ended up landing, grabbing my first traditional Moroccan lunch and when I got to the hotel, I told myself, okay just a little nap. Before I knew, I’d fallen asleep and only woke up in time for a late dinner. Luckily I got the chance to walk in the streets of Casablanca by night, dine at a great restaurant called Rick’s cafe. I also got a sneak a peak of the majestic Hassan II mosque by the night as we drove by. Even if it was dark and not lighted up, I have a picture of the mosque in my mind. Beautiful and grand with the sound of the waves in the background as the Hassan 11 mosque is by the sea. Since I had to stick to the schedule, the next morning was time to leave Casablanca and head to our next destination to begin this Moroccan experience.

Hopefully, I will eventually return and make up for lost time in Casablanca.  I will return to the Hassan II mosque and visit this it’s majestic green architecture and enjoy the beauty by the sea. Although I did not see much of it, I did buy this 3D version of it as a souvenir of my time in Casablanca, Morocco.  Even such a figurine demonstrates it’s grand beauty except in real this there is the sea behind and a path way leading to the main gates.

Others things I’ll possibly do/visit next time I happen to be in Casablanca, Morocco:

  • The Hassan II is the main attraction to see  but I’d also like to visit the medina of Casablanca- maze like alley ways.
  • I’d also like to visit Mohamed V Place which is the central plaza of Casablanca and then enjoy the Corniche promenade to enjoy the city’s beachfront.
  • The Sacre coeur cathedral is also worth a visit
  • Shopping at the central market in Casablanca.

I’ll have splendid Morocco pictures to share with you!

Until next time,
